The Seeker X (in the MCAIII car mount) is always looking for leaks while tech drives between jobs. When a leak is detected, time, frequency, level, and location are logged and the leak data is periodically sync'd with the LAW-X Server. Individual readings are quadrangulated into a single leak at actual leak location, not on the street.
The so pinpointed leak is added to the database and a work order is assigned. Then the tech selects a work order, drives to near the leak location. To find the exact leak position, the tech uses the highly directional wideband field antenna to pinpoint the leak source. If the tech finds the source (where the level of the leakage is the highest) he takes a Pre-Fix Snapshot with the Seeker X which captures the leak level and the GPS location (when Seeker X is put back into MCAIII).

The tech then fixes the root cause of the leak, verifies the leak is
gone, and captures a Post-Fix Snapshot. This snapshot data is
immediately synced to LAW-X when meter is docked into MCAIII. If leak closure criteria are met, the leak is auto-closed and database will be updated. The so closed leak disappears from the map in LAW-X.
