Since the foundation of our company in 1977, we have continuously been developing. A large percentage of our business is generated in neighboring countries of Austria including CEE.

Key Company Milestones

  • 1977: Foundation of the company as a sole proprietorship
  • 1980: Supplying technical CATV components
  • 1984: Market entry into professional satellite reception technology
  • 1990: Starting to market teletext and infochannel systems
  • 1996: Implementation of internet systems for cable networks
  • 1997: Installation of long-distance optical transmission systems
  • 1998: Launch of the first MPEG processing platforms
  • 2002: Opening of a branch office in Slovakia (Normann Engineering SRO)
  • 2004: Acquisition of smaller cable networks in Austria
  • 2008: Expansion to the German market (cable operators, city carriers, etc.)
  • 2010: Planning and implementation of DVB-T broadcasting systems
  • 2012: International projects in the field of digital video, Docsis and HFC
  • 2014: Establishment of a branch office in Hungary (Normann Engineering KFT)
  • 2016: The addition of a branch office in Belgrade (Normann Engineering DOO)
  • 2018: Launch of subsidiary in Kosovo (Normann Engineering LLC)
