The Harmonic Oyster-1 DAA Node is a compact, low-power outdoor enclosure. It offers versatile support for Passive Optical Network (PON), making it an ideal solution for delivering high-speed broadband services to various deployment scenarios, including Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH), Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs), and mobile backhaul for cell towers.
The node integrates remote OLT modules for XGS-PON and 10G EPON, providing efficient and scalable PON services while optimizing power consumption with its unique vBias control. Its cableless design and hot-swappable components ensure simplified maintenance and high reliability, supporting seamless integration with Harmonic’s cOS virtualized core software and other third-party devices.
