The VIAVI OBS-500 and OBS-550 are portable optical broadband light sources for high-performance fiber characterization. They support PMD, CD and attenuation profile measurements and are designed for testing amplified and non-amplified fiber links, including ultra-long-haul applications.

  • Both versions allow testing through in-line amplifiers / EDFAs
