Planar Lightwave Circuits
PPC’s Planar Lightwave Circuits (PLC) splitters are manufactured using silica glass waveguide circuits and extremely precise alignment of optic fibers in a small package.
PLCs split or combine light from one or two incoming fibers to multiple outgoing fibers. PLC splitters perform uniformly over a wide spectral range, with ultra-low losses.
They are also highly compact, reliable and available in a wide range of fiber and connector types. All PPC PLC splitters are fully compliant with the Telcordia GR-1209 & GR-1221 standard.
