The SRM 10G is a combined Supervisory Resource Module and Network Interface Module for the BSR 64000 CMTS/edge router. Integrating control, switching, route processing, and forwarding in a single module, the SRM10G can forward up to 20 Gbps. Like the entire BSR 64000 product line, the SRM10G supports full, hot-swappable redundancy and industry-leading processing power, efficiency, and performance.

Features:

• Full 1:1 redundancy while allowing the network interface ports of both the active and standby modules to be simultaneously active
• Enables support of up to 512 downstreams and 192 upstreams per BSR 64000, or 384 downstreams and 288 upstreams with full RF redundancy
• Two 10G/1G and four 1G Ethernet network interface ports for CMTS backhaul and traffic forwarding
• Advanced protocols to support routing and bridging deployments
• High-performance architecture ensures autonomy between the control plane and forwarding plane
• Increase in chassis density – no additional network interface module necessary
• Upgraded Full Mesh Switch Fabric provides a 2x increase in forwarding throughput capacity
