Vantiva, in collaboration with CommScope, has achieved a major industry milestone by demonstrating download speeds of 13Gbps on a single DOCSIS 4.0 modem — setting a new benchmark for home broadband performance.
Vantiva’s latest DOCSIS 4.0 CPE supports up to seven downstream OFDM channels, utilizing 384 MHz of additional spectrum in cable networks operating up to 1.8GHz. This enhancement allows internet service providers to deliver faster speeds, introduce new premium service tiers, and maximize returns on their existing DOCSIS 4.0 infrastructure.
According to Vantiva and CommScope, this joint innovation underscores the potential of DOCSIS 4.0 technology to unlock unprecedented capacity and performance in current broadband networks.
